Documentary LandArt: Female artists in dialogue with the environment

In this documentary series, I explore the works of artists Barbara Guthy, Soana Schüler, and Anne Arend Schulten. Their monumental yet ephemeral Land Art installations, crafted from natural materials, demonstrate the constant change and transience of all forms. For their impressive work, Barbara Guthy and Anne Arend Schulten were awarded the Genius Art Prize in 2025.

The artists realize both large-scale projects, such as the 2023 Federal Garden Show in Mannheim or the Botanical Garden of Marnay-sur-Seine, and smaller interventions in Germany and neighboring European countries. The film illuminates the background of their work, the creative process with natural materials, and their on-site work.
