In the three-part documentary series "Sound of You," which I conceived and directed together with André Uelner, people from very different backgrounds come together. The series accompanies encounters that break down boundaries and foster empathy.
What happens when you leave your familiar perspective and see your own city through someone else's eyes? In each episode, two people meet for a "friendly blind date." They delve into each other's everyday lives, experiencing their routines, values, and challenges. Whether questions of faith, social engagement, or the search for a sense of home – these are intimate, honest conversations that reveal the profound encounters between the protagonists.
In directing, my focus was on capturing real encounters and making intimate moments authentically tangible. Sound of You is more than a documentary – it's a cinematic experiment about dialogue, shifting perspectives, and what connects us as a society.
