In this immersive journey through film, performance, and interaction, I, as author and director, together with our ensemble and the audience, ask myself: How do we find our way out of stagnation and into a proactive shaping of community in times of global uncertainty?
In my new project, “In the Web of Life,” we explore our connection to our own nature, to each other, and to our environment. As a writer and director, I combine film, dance, and theater into an immersive journey that dissolves the boundaries between work and audience. Inspired by the philosophy of Joanna Macy, I have staged a dialogue process that engages mind, heart, and hands. The goal is not only to reflect on the ecological crisis but also to translate it into a space for imagination and collective action through artistic impulses—be it powerful short films or performative interventions.
My approach is to make the connection to our own nature and our surroundings tangible. Dialogue on equal footing is central to this: The performance doesn't end with the final applause but rather leads into a vibrant, project-oriented exchange that highlights concrete examples of sustainable communities in Heidelberg.
